Menasor Giftset KO appeared in 2010, individual packaged stunticons appeared in 2020. They were also sold loose between this time.

Packaging Guide - Giftset 

 

  • Figure Name labels - Motormaster should have a full grid square between his figure art and the 5 of the name block. Breakdown should also have two rows of grids between his name label and figure window.
  • Similar color gradient issues to other counterfeits.

  • Counterfeit styrofoam - comparison image
  • The original made in Japan styrofoam has lined circle imprints
  • The original made in Macau has the assortment number on the back 5816
  • The counterfeit styrofoam is of poor quality and has dotted circle imprints
  • The counterfeit styrofoam is also missing two circular mold supports
  • Instructions -The counterfeit has placement issues with the line art - comparison image
  • The sword blade covers the third vertical gridline, it should be between the 2nd 3rd gridline.
  • Too much whitespace between his left foot and grid border.

 

Packaging Guide - Individual

  • Motormaster
  • There is a colon after AGES on the KO Box. Factory sticker is also applied.
  • The sunburst on the Motormaster box is closer to the original than most KO's, however there is still some misalignment and sizing issues, a vertical gridline can (just) be seen between Motormasters legs.
  • Breakdown / Dead End / Drag Strip / Wildrider
  • Individual carded stunticons are carded on the "Prizes in disguise" card. There is no reflective iron-on packaged with the figure*.
  • The hole punch on original prizes in disguise cards is above the 'AN' in transformers, it is above the 'NS' on the KO card. (Same as original non "prizes in disguise" cards).
  • Rub signs are either either not applied (A rubsign is included), or applied.
  • The yellow and black Stunticon - name box (bottom left corner) should be sized 4x2 grid spaces. On the counterfeits its sized 5x2.

* NB - Be aware of Kmart stickers being placed on counterfeit stunticon cards, due to both the card and bubble being available separately, reseals have appeared with what appears to be a iron on patch!

Figure Guide

  • Motormaster
  • Copyright is vertical along the base, it should be horizonal to the axels. It is also missing the Japanese characters. Image
  • Two circle mold prints are on the head of the figure, they do not appear on the original figure.
  • Breakdown
  • Bonnet sticker shows whitespace in the decepticon logo Image
  • Front windscreen hinge is not the right shape and front headlight section has very poor definition.
  • Counterfeit Breakdown has a metal chest.
  • Dead End
  • Copyright stamp only has takara japan on his right leg, there is nothing on his left leg.
  • Leg pins are not secure and easily fall out, originals have rivets.
  • Counterfeit Dead End has a metal chest.
  • Drag Strip
  • Copyright is missing the Japanese Kanji characters Image
  • The counterfeit engine detail is not as defined as an original and has an circular mold imprint. Image
  • Counterfeit Dragstrip has a metal chest.
  • Wildrider
  • Copyright stamp is missing the Japanese Kanji characters, pin connector is too visible on KO doors. Image.
  • There is no mold number under the bonnet
  • Counterfeit Wildrider has a metal chest.

Accessory Guide

  • Menasor
  • Feet - The counterfeit feet have a flat surface next to the leg connector when it should be lined, the squares should also have rounded corners, they are square/straight on the counterfeits. See comparison
  • Sword - The lined section of the handle has a straight edge on the counterfeit, it should be curved. See comparison.
  • Blast Deflector / Waist Belt - only original parts have a mold number on the underside, also different circle mold patterns on underside, the counterfeit has a large circle on the underside opposite where the sticker is placed - See comparison
  • Fists - L and R look like they have been written into the mold. See image of counterfeits.
  • Face - Differences in mold imprints, see image of counterfeit.
  • Chest Armor /Vehicle - Differences in mold imprints, see image of counterfeit.
